October is here! Which also means that the 4th quarter is here! For many brave and savvy business owners, you are in the final stretch. It’s time to finish the year strong, think ahead and start planning for the new year. Here’s a guideline to help you.
Fourth Quarter Marketing Checklist:
Review your accomplishments for this year – Even though the year is not quite over, this is a good stage to review your status. Celebrate your wins and make necessary tweaks to ensure future successes.
Audit your current marketing strategy – Take a critical look at your marketing strategy. Look for areas where you can be more effective. Conduct a SWOT analysis where you are assessing your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.
Plan your marketing calendar – Your calendar should include items that are pertinent to your business growth. Include items such as events, email marketing, blogs, social media campaigns/posts and advertising campaigns.
Develop your marketing budget for the upcoming new year – Marketing is an investment and not an expense. Having the aim of growing your small business, you must invest in marketing. If your fiscal year concurs with the calendar year, start carving out a budget to support your goals.
Have a strategic planning session for the upcoming year – In order to take your business to the next level and bring your vision into focus, effective planning is necessary. Be realistic about your goals. During this process solicit feedback from your team, customers, advisors and consultants.
